  • Getting Here

Getting to Chamonix is really easy: it is 100km/62 miles from Geneva Airport and takes one hour.

There are a number of companies that offer transfer services between Geneva Airport and the Chamonix Valley. Many clients have used Mountain Drop Offs who provide a professional and frequent shuttle service between Geneva Airport and the Chamonix Valley. Please see their website here: www.mountaindropoffs.com/

Geneva Airport can be reached from 17 airports in the UK and Ireland and is only one hour from the Chamonix Valley. It is well-connected with the USA, Canada and Australasia. Both Chamonix and Geneva Airport can be reached by train from the UK. You can also drive to Chamonix in approximately 10 hours from Calais. Please do not book non-refundable travel before we guarantee your departure.

  • Accommodation on the TMB

We stay at a mix of 2 and 3 star hotels and spend 2 nights at an auberge. Occasionally this may vary and we will inform you at the time of booking your holiday if this is the case. For 8 of the 10 nights you should have a bedroom with private bathroom (very occasionally you may have to share a bathroom with another room) . For 2 nights (3 & 8) there are shared facilities.

All hotels have WiFi except for the night at Les Chapieux (night 8). Please note that some of the WiFi can be very slow and you may be better using your data.

You can easily extend your stay in the Chamonix Valley at our hotel. Please ask us for details, availability and prices.

The hotels offer meals for vegetarian diets. Some of the hotels cater to other diets, such as vegan and low-gluten, but others hotels do not and so we are regretfully not able to guarantee this. It is best to bring some supplements with you. Gluten-free bread is not available at any hotels on this trek.

The hotels on the TMB do not like to offer single rooms and so we are unable to offer this. If there are an odd number of people in your party we recommend a triple room.
