  • Our guided hikes in the Lake District take in the best this part of England has to offer. The mountains are all accessible on foot and offer some of the most picturesque scenery in the UK. There are small villages, isolated farms, ancient bridges and dry-stone walls that have existed for centuries.

    The aim is to hike to the tops of the highest and most famous mountain peaks in England via routes that are interesting and achievable in one day. The mountains include Scafell Pike, Helvellyn, the Gables, Haystacks and Catbells. The paths are well-trodden and we will pass small streams, hillsides dotted with sheep and hidden lakes high in the hills. The landscape is breath-taking and, on clear days, you can see for miles: from some summits you can see Ireland and southern Scotland.

    We have chosen to run the trip in summer when then weather is generally more favourable, but we have dates which avoid the school holidays when the valleys can become busy.

    The hotel is in a beautiful location and offers great food and nice rooms. There are cosy pubs and small cafés in most places we visit.

  2. Hike the Newlands Horseshoe: Catbells, Maiden Moor, High Spy. 3* Hotel
  3. Buttermere lake and the fells of Haystacks and Red Pike. 3* Hotel
  4. Scafell Pike – England’ highest mountain. 3* Hotel
  5. North Lake and Blencathra. 3* Hotel
  6. Great Gable, Green Gable and Sourmilk Ghyll. 3* Hotel
  7. Helvellyn and Dollywagon Pike. 3* Hotel
  8. Trip ends.

• Getting Here

  The Lake District is in the northwest of England and can be reached by train and car. If you fly to London or any other airport there are plenty of connections to this part of England.

• Accommodation

  We stay in the 3-star Glaramara hotel for 7 nights. Rooms at the hotel are on a twin-share basis: all have attached private bathrooms. Single rooms are available on request. There is a good restaurant and a nice bar with a lovely lounge from where you can see the mountains.

• How to Book Your Trek

  Step 1 – Choose Your Trek

  Select your trek and check availability, either by phoning us or sending an on-line enquiry.

  Step 2 – Complete a Booking Form

  Complete an on-line booking form and pay a deposit of 20% of the tour.

  Step 3 – How to Pay

  Payments are in British Pounds (GBP). You can pay by bank transfer, credit or debit card.

  Please indicate how you wish to pay on the booking form.

  If you wish to pay by bank transfer we will send you the account details by e-mail.

  If you wish to pay by credit card or debit card we will send you an email via worldpay that allows you to pay online. We accept GBP only.

  Please note that your money is safe when you book with us. All monies are deposited and held in trust by the trustees of the Travel Trust Association (TTA). Only when your tour has finished do we receive your money.

  Step 4 – Email Confirmation

  Once the payment has been received we will send you an e-mail confirmation.
