      • All transfers and cable cars included

      Group size: 6-14

We make good use of the cable cars to gain height which allows us to trek amongst some of the highest limestone peaks with far reaching views. You will trek approximately 130km in 9 days, with some significant ascents and descents.

We visit pretty towns via quiet trails and stay at good 3-star hotels for 7 of the 10 nights.  High in the mountains we stay in good-quality, family-run refuges so you can really savour the magnificence of the high Dolomites. Each refuge has been selected for its location and special experience. Our route keeps to quieter trails, though we do cross paths with the overcrowded north to south Alta Via 1 (AV1) once.

Your main luggage is transferred from hotel to hotel so there is only need for light backpacking while we stay for the three nights in refuges.

  • Getting There

Venice Marco Polo airport can be reached from numerous UK and European airports. There are direct flights to New York, Philadelphia, Toronto and Montreal. There are many connecting long-haul flights to Venice via other European hubs.

You can easily extend your holiday in Venice. From the airport, Venice city can be easily reached by bus or water taxi in 30-90 minutes, depending on the location of your hotel.

  • Accommodation

We stay for seven nights at 3 star hotels for three nights at private, family-run refuges. All hotel rooms have private bathrooms and the refuges have shared facilities. Occasionally this may vary and we will inform you at the time of booking your holiday if this is the case.

Most of the hotels have WiFi. Please note that some of the WiFi can be very slow and you may be better using your data.

The hotels offer meals for vegetarian diets. Some of the hotels cater to other diets, such as vegan and low gluten, but others hotels do not and so we are regretfully not able to guarantee this. It is best to bring some supplements with you. Gluten-free bread is available at some, but not all, hotels .

The hotels are reluctant to give single rooms and so we are unable to offer this.
