      Group size: 6-14

You will trek approximately 120km in 9 days with a free day in the middle to relax your legs and visit local towns. There are some significant ascents and descents.

We visit pretty towns and charming villages via quiet trails and stay at good 2-3-star hotels for six of the 10 nights. There is one night at an Austrian guesthouse and three nights at refuges high up in the mountains enabling us to soak up the views and ambiance of this region. The trails are well-travelled but not maintained and can be rough underfoot in places.

Your main luggage is transferred from hotel to hotel so there is only the need for light backpacking while we stay at the refuges.

  • Getting There

Zurich Airport can be reached from numerous UK and European airports. There are direct flights to some US and Canadian cities. There are many connecting long-haul flights to Zurich via other European hubs.

From the airport, Zurich city centre can be reached by train in 30 minutes where you can extend your holiday

  • Accommodation

We stay for six nights at 2-3 star hotels, one night at a guesthouse and three nights at mountain refuges. All hotel rooms have private bathrooms and the refuges have shared facilities. Occasionally this may vary and we will inform you at the time of booking your holiday if this is the case.

Most of the hotels have WiFi. Please note that some of the WiFi can be very slow and you may be better using your data.

The hotels and refuges offer meals for vegetarian diets. Some of the hotels cater to other diets, such as vegan and gluten-free, but others hotels do not and so we are regretfully not able to guarantee this. It is best to bring some supplements with you. Gluten-free bread is available at some, but not all, hotels.

The hotels are reluctant to give single rooms and so we are unable to offer this.
